Congratulations Jan Martin Wilschut

Jan Martin WilschutEvery four years World Sailing conducts elections for Chairs of the various WS committees. The Chair of the Cadet Class, Jan Martin Wilschut, was invited to nominate for Chair of the World Sailing Classes Committee. Jan Martin has for many years represented the Cadet Class on that committee and is well known to the members as a strong and collaborative leader.

We are delighted to announce that Jan Martin was elected and will chair the Classes Committee for the next four years. The Chair is also an ex officio member of World Sailing’s Council.

Jan Martin’s key message was that the future of the sport lies with junior and youth classes, a message that resonated with those casting votes on behalf of their classes.

We congratulate Jan Martin on his election and wish him every success in this challenging role.
